Today seemed like our first official day of summer. No traveling, no bags to pack or unpack, the laundry is caught up, no pressing places to be...just a chill day at home together, which I think we needed. Bryan and I made ourselves get back into our workout routine, which was easier than I expected. We took 10 days off during our vacation stretch and I can honestly say I feel so much better now after a good workout.
What started out as a very rainy day ended up turning into a sunny afternoon. We took advantage of the clear skies and sun for a few hours of outside play time. I had a few new camera tips I wanted to try out so while the kids played I practiced shooting them in action. We rode bikes, played with the wagon, and did log rolls down the side yard hill.
Bryan also worked with the girls on some volleyball skills. Bryce of course didn't want to be left out so he got in a little volleyball practice too.
We finished up our afternoon play time with an ice cream snack. Bryan and I skipped the ice cream and shared an apple. It's hard coming off of a vacation diet that pretty much consisted of dessert at every meal!
