August 2025

 

August means back to school, back to high school volleyball and back to soccer. Always a busy month!

The month started off on the very first day with the boys back to school. Bryce started his Junior year and Bryan started his 27th (I think) year teaching. 

Yes, we are counting down until his retirement in 3 years! 

Mid month the girls got back to school too. Jordyn started her Sophomore year at UGA and Sydney started her SENIOR year at UNG. Back to school for Sydney also meant back to sorority life with her KD girls. Jordyn applied and interviewed for the pharmacy program at UGA shortly after school started. A few weeks after the interview process she learned that she was accepted into the Pharm program at UGA for Fall of 2026!

Bryan earned his 600th coaching win. That's a lot of wins! 

We had our annual big August birthday celebration at Pop and Cece's house. Lots of August birthdays in our family. 

Next up was the first tournament of the soccer season and y'all...it ended up being Bryce's last tournament. We weren't planning on this being Bryce's last tournament with this team, but without going into details, it was the right move on our part. I just wish we had known this ahead of time since we paid in full for the season and bought all new uniforms. :/

We helped Ellie celebrate her 7th birthday! 

Bryan had a BIG birthday. His 50th birthday. We had a little home celebration on his actual birthday. Then I threw a surprise party for him the weekend after his brithday and y'all...he had no idea and was truly surprised! Such a fun time.
