Disney 2021!

It's been over 2.5 year since we had visited one of our favorite vacation spots. We decided to hit up Disney for Spring Break...masks and all. The reason we went even though the parks weren't fully functioning is because Sydney's college breaks will not line up with Jordyn and Bryce's breaks from here on out so vacation planning will get a little trickier from here on out.

I honestly haven't even finished looking at all the photos from our trip because they are pretty lame since we had masks on. Thankfully the masks rule was lifted for *photos only* while we were there so we were able to get few days of mask free photos.

The parks were at 35% capacity when we went so the crowds were pretty great. Attraction waits were not bad at all. With folks spaced 6 feet apart the lines looked way longer than they actually were. No character meet & greets, half the restaurants were closed, half the shops weren't open, no fireworks, no parades and several shows weren't running. Even with all of the  closed attractions we still had a really great time. We were able to score last minute ressies at most of our favorite places to eat and we were able to ride everything we wanted more than once including Rise of the Resistance. We consider that a win!

It will probably be a while before we head back to WDW due to our schedules and honestly the cost to visit is so high we can't justify going on a visit each year. We do love it though and will continue to go, but probably not as often. Depending on how the first half of 2022 goes we may head out to Cali next summer and hit up Disneyland.

Day 1:

We were up super early for our drive down. We arrived around 12:30 so our room wasn't ready. We hoped out of the car, grabbed our Magic Bands and masks to rush over to Hollywood Studios in hopes of getting into the 1:00 virtual que for Rise of the Resistance. We got into the park by 12:50 and at right at 1:00 were able to snag a boarding group for RoR! We knocked out everything and then some before the park closed for the day so our first day, which was really only a half day was a success.

Day 2:
We headed to Magic Kingdom bright and early. We stayed from open to close and had a very productive day.

Day 3:
Animal Kingdom day. Animal Kingdom is hands down my favorite park. I could stroll through AK everyday and never get tired of the views. I ended up forgetting my Magic Band in the room so Jordyn and I ran back to the room to get it. Meanwhile the bus showed up so Bryan, Sydney and Bryce went on ahead to the park. When we arrived to the park it hadn't officially opened so people were in the park, but having to wait outside whatever attraction they wanted to go on first. Bryan, Sydney and Bryce went to Everest first so that's where Jordyn and I headed once we were in the park. No one was really that far back in the park so Jordyn and I had things to ourselves. We stopped to take a few photos because it was just us in the area and it was too pretty pass up the moment.

Our day in Animal Kingdom was amazing. We did everything more than once and scored last minute dinner ressies at Yak & Yeti, which made Jordyn extremely happy. Top notch day!

One of our favorite snacks!

Day 4:
We were back at Hollywood Studios. Once again we were able to snag a boarding group on Rise of the Resistance so that started our morning off with good news. We went from opening to close again and took advantage of our time at HS. To make the day complete we scored last minute ressies at our all time favorite place to eat: 50's Prime Time.

Day 5:
Epcot Day. Epcot is a little on the boring side currently, but despite lots of construction and attractions that were closed we still had a fantastic time because The Flower & Garden Festival was going on. And they lifted the mask rule for photos only. It is nice to have some photos without masks on. There were many pretty topiaries to look at and we even spent some time in a butterfly garden. We finished off our day with dinner at Garden Grill, which is up there on our list of favorite places to eat.

Day 6:
For our last day we went back to Magic Kingdom. We couldn't have asked for a better last day in the park. We did everything and then some. Another fun day and Disney trip for the Joneses!
