50 Days of Summer: Day 26

We helped Ethan C. celebrate his birthday today with a fun pool party.
The water felt amazing in the typical Georgia summer heat.

Working on rocket jumps out of the pool.

 Cannonball!
Here's the birthday boy getting ready to blow out his candles.
Happy Birthday Ethan!

After the party we hurried home so we could fit in some play time with the Grundy family. As you guys know the Grundy's are moving to Virginia. Amy leaves tomorrow to head back to work and Ivan and the kids will be leaving on Thursday. The kids had a blast playing together as usual. Mr. Allen (neighbor to the right of us) pulled out his 4-wheeler and Bryan gave all the kids a ride. It was hard to tell who was having more fun though...Bryan or the kids!

 Aidan
 Bella
 Lilly.
Fun fact: Lilly's parents went to Sprayberry High School with Bryan.

Jordyn showed off some of her flexibility skills. She is loving gymnastics class.

Mr. Ivan and Bryce had a bike race.
Mr. Ivan was on the vintage bike he scored off Craig's List
while Bryce was on his super fast Rocket Bike.
On your mark...get set...

 GO!!
 Congratulatory hand shake.
Bryce won the first race and they tied the 2nd race.

Finally that moment I have been dreading for months arrived when Amy and I said our goodbye's to each other. Some tears were shed and Bryan didn't help the situation with snapping photos of us. I didn't post those because we have those sappy sad faces on. The Grundy's will be back to visit over Thanksgiving so it will be a while before we see them again.
The good news is we have an open invitation to visit them
in Virginia and they are near the beach.

I'm really going to miss my friend.
It's been a blast having a good friend living next door to us
(we knew the Grundy's before they moved in next to us).
I'm going to miss running over to tell Amy something "really quick"
only to end up staying for a drink and some laughs.
I'm going to miss seeing the kids.
I'm going to miss those typical Ivan comments that only Ivan can get away with.
Love you guys and I wish you all the best in your new adventures in Virginia!
