Eleven.

Happy Birthday to our Sydney Faith!

Our oldest beauty turns 11 today.

ELEVEN.

Geesh. I know I sound like a broken record, but this time thing is just crazy once you throw kids into the mix. I can honestly say it seems like yesterday I was pregnant with her. These birthdays seem to come faster and faster each year. Our life gets busier and busier as the kids get older so I am constantly reminding myself to slow down and enjoy each moment, which let's face it...is really much easier to type here than actually do.

I'm so very proud of this girl. Smart, confident, creative and funny. She can drive us crazy with how headstrong and persistent she is, but at the end of the day she is a good and sweet girl. She loves sports; especially soccer. She loves the Georgia Bulldogs, which her daddy loves. She would rather wear sports gear over a dress any day. She doesn't mind getting sweaty and dirty. She is tough as nails. I have seen this girl take some hard kicked soccer balls to the face and be knocked down by girls who are almost double her size. She always pops back up even if she is hurt and keeps going. Her team can always count on her to give it her all. (Watching her play is worth all the driving to and from practice that I like to complain about!) She is a good friend and I am thankful that she has surrounded herself with a group of really great girls. I pray for these friendships to continue because I know what an impact friends can make on a person.

Basically what I'm trying to say is Sydney is an awesome girl. There are times I look at her and still can't believe she is my daughter. I can't believe this leggy slender girl was once in my body. So thankful God picked me to be her mom. I absolutely adore being mom to this lovely young lady.

We love you so much Syd!!
