Oh, Airplane, Airplane.

Sunday was an absolutely perfect Georgia Fall day. It was sunny and warm with a nice breeze, and there wasn't a cloud in the beautiful blue sky. The only thing we saw in the sky were airplanes and lots of them!

Dobbins Air Force Base was having an airshow this weekend so we drove over to my dads house for the day to enjoy the show. He lives close to the base, but far enough away for us to avoid traffic. (The paper reported they expected 250,000 people over the course of the weekend.) There are 3 empty lots in walking distance from my dads so we watched the show from there with the rest of his neighbors...one of which was my 7th grade social studies teacher, Ms. Glover. My cousin Wes also came up to watch with us for a little while.

The kids enjoyed the show, but got a little restless in-between acts so we would walk back to dads house until the next group started. Bryce LOVED the airplanes. When the planes would make loops in the sky he would say, "Airplane make circle". Love that smart boy of mine.

Here are a few pics and even a video from the show. I got some decent shots with my little point and shoot camera. Makes me yearn for a "fancy" camera even more. In due time...good things come to those who wait. Right?!

I find air shows so fascinating, how they manage to do all those tricks without crashing is mind blowing.

Love the pics, love the video.

I hope you get your camera although you do a pretty decent job with the one you have!
